Opening an account with Stern Capital Management is a three step process:

STEP 1: Register your account with OANDA

STEP 2: Allocate your Funds

STEP3: Complete,sign, and return Stern Capital Management's Fee Agreement, External Contract, and Know Your Customer Fact Sheet

If you are an existing OANDA customer, you do not need to open another account and you may proceed to STEP 2.

STEP 1: Register your account with OANDA

IMPORTANT Notes

Primary Currency select USD; Leverage select 1:50

Enable FXGlobal Transfer? Select "No"

Legal Agreements: Select "Agree" to proceed.

Activate Account: You will need to go to the email you provided and follow an activation link provided by OANDA. Please make note of the username, password, and account number provided in this email for future reference.

Confirm your ID: You can fax or email scanned copies of your ID (passport or driver license) and proof of address (utility bill or bank statement) to OANDA via the fax number or email address below. Include your username and account number for their reference.

Download our Limited Power of Attorney form: Here.

Complete the form by entering in your Client ID Number (You will see this number in the accounts table alongside our fund’s name when you login to your FXManager account) and your name. Be sure to sign and date the LPOA as well. All fields MUST be hand written or OANDA will not accept the LPOA.

Please save the LPOA pdf file after you signed it on your computer. ( You will be required to upload it to us in Step 3 ). We will hold a copy for our records and submit a copy to OANDA as per their TOS.

NOTE: The Limited Power of Attorney makes it legal for Stern Capital Management and/or it's Trading Agents to trade money allocated from your account. Money is not transferred to Stern Capital Management, nor does Stern Capital Management have any access to your funds. This is a strict agreement that only allows Stern Capital Management to trade your account on your behalf.

1.3: Depositing Funds to your FXTrade Account:

You will receive a confirmation email from OANDA when your account is authorized for funding. Please wait to receive this email, then follow the instructions below to deposit your funds with OANDA.

Follow this link to deposit funds.

You will receive an email once your funds have been deposited into your FXTrade account. Once your account is funded, you may proceed to STEP 2: Allocate your Funds.

STEP 2: Allocate your Funds

Be sure you have completed the following steps before proceeding;

  • Activated your OANDA account
  • Submitted ID Confirmation to the OANDA Corporation
  • Registered under FHCM Starter Fund by clicking on our invitation link
  • Submitted the LPOA forms to us via email
  • Funded your OANDA FXTrade account

If you have completed all the above steps, please scroll down to Allocating Funds to the Stern Capital Growth Fund.

If you were instructed to skip STEP 1, please proceed to the instructions immediately following this sentence.

STEP 3: Stern Capital Management Registration

Stern Capital Management's Registration Requirements

Once you have completed STEPS 1 & 2 please click on the two separate links below to download Stern Capital Management's Fee Agreement, External Contract and our Know Your Customer Fact Sheet. These documents need to be completed by each of our client's and returned to us signed and dated before we can being actively trading on allocated funds.

Limited Power of Attorney - LPOA (You should have it on your computer signed already from Step 1.2)

Once you have donwloaded the documents, please fill the form and include your documents signed

3.1: Allocating Funds to the Stern Capital Growth Fund

You will receive a confirmation email from OANDA when your Limited Power of Attorney forms have been verified. Please wait to receive this email, then follow the instructions below to allocate your funds with Stern Capital Management.

3.2: Transferring Funds

Log into the Cash Management System at OANDA

Transfer funds from your primary FXTrade account to the "MA Unalloc bal" sub-account.

3.3: Allocating to Stern Capital Management's Growth Fund (Final Step)

Log in to your FXManager account

Click Stern Capital Growth Fund from the top table so that it becomes highlighted, then select from the top menu : Account > Allocate Funds

Enter the amount you wish to deposit

Your allocation request will appear in the Allocations tab. Stern Capital Management must accept this request before your account balance will change under your Accounts Summary
